Why you should Participate at SATTE 2008 as an International Seller
Almost the size of Europe, with over a billion population, a growing middle class of around 300 million – India’s aviation is growing around 40 to 50 per cent in the last 3 years.

The advent of Low Cost Carriers and liberalized aviation policy is witnessing a huge influx of airline capacity with new airlines growing literally every other month.

Domestic aviation growth is fueling demand for international travel – over 7 million presently and estimated to cross 10 million by 2008. The domestic base of 500 million movements annually will create even more international travelers with a GDP growth of 10% annually.

Over 500 aircraft are presently on order, making India one of the fastest growing markets for aviation in the world.

Over 25 countries have a full time representation in the country. Roadshows and B2B meetings are held round the year.

Indians are taking on to beach holidays, spa vacations, cruises and safaris. There are virtually no controls on spending with internationally valid credit cards becoming popular throughout the country.

Meet with Indian Agents & Tour Operators
India has a growing number of travel agents and tour operators all over the country. They are located in major metros and smaller towns. Meeting them under one roof is always a challenge.

With numerous holiday options growing for them to promote, it is critical that NTOs and travel trade from round the world meet with them regularly and familarise them with their product. Also update them from time to time.

As the promise of the growing Indian travellers unfolds, industry platforms are growing all over India.

SATTE, the first travel trade show in India, has grown into becoming the biggest, attracting nation wide attention, support and attendance.

A Growing National & International Platform: Network Under One Roof
2008 will be SATTE’s 15th annual show. Over the years it focused on inbound tourism, inviting tour operators form overseas as international buyers. So far SATTE has hosted over 4000 tour operators from over 40 countries worldwide. They have come from all over – the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and from China, Japan and Australia. The sellers have been products and services from all over India and from South Asian countries.

SATTE took upon the mantle of OPENWORLD, growing and adapting with the winds of change in the Indian marketplace. The Indian Buyer has come of age, with the Indian travel agent and Indian tour operator packaging travel and tourism services and products from all over India, South Asia and the world over. With liberalizing of government policies, the world has opened for the Indian traveler, and therefore the Indian agent.

In 2007, as many as 18 countries, flew their flag at SATTE OPENWORLD. Over 100 organizations participated as international sellers to meet with 2000 agents from all over India, predominantly from the northern region.

The 2008 Promise
We will grow exponentially with the market. At least 30 countries are expected to take part with half the sellers, among a base of 650 booths, to come from overseas.

We anticipate 150 organizations to take part as international sellers to meet with 3000 Indian agents and tour operators.
Against 4900 sq.m. net space used during SATTE 2007, we are looking at over 7500 sq.m. net space in 2008, an increase of over 35% and projecting similar increase in participation.

SATTE OPENWORLD, as a platform, is ideal to showcase first time numerous new products on offer for the Indian market. Cost of participation
Individual booths of standard 9 sq.m cost Rs. 90,000. For bare spaces,
Rs. 9,500/- per sq.m. For built up spaces Rs. 10,000/- per sq. m. Detailed programmes are in place for Partner States and Theme Pavilions. We have comprehensive packages that feature participation, food festivals and cultural manifestations.
