Shama Pawar
She
is known for her work with
rural women in Anagondi a
village located near the
heritage site of Hampi.
Her work through the NGO
Kishbinda Trust which she
founded has not only
employed women through
craft workshops but given
tourists a new reason to
visit Hampi and Anagondi.

Sentila T Yanger
A
cultural activist she is
widely known for her work
with craft artisans and
women issues in Nagaland.
She has organized several
festivals on Naga heritage
and curated art
exhibitions on the works
of Naga artists, which
have helped to promote
tourism in the State. Her
efforts led her to be
awarded the Padma Shri for
Arts in 2008.

M Saleem Beg
In
his role as Director
General Tourism,
Government of Jammu and
Kashmir, he has
highlighted and promoted
tourism to and within the
State. Thanks to his
efforts, tourism
infrastructure projects in
the State have been given
the much needed impetus.
In his current role, as
the INTACH Convener in
Srinagar, he has helped
ensure the preservation of
our heritage sites
throughout the country.
